Directed by Neri&Hu, with a design aspiration of contrasting "old and new”, “interior and exterior” and also “fast and slow”. The original structure of the old building was preserved whilst the interior was reconfigured with walls demolished for a communal lifestyle and also harmonious connection with its surrounding community

While retaining the original space layout, the design transforms, overlaps and blurs the boundary between the interior and exterior environment. The new winding staircase in the hotel is not only a corridor in the building structure, but also a social space
